Why there is no direct PDF to Blooket button

Blooket is a game engine. Gold Quest, Crypto Hack, Tower Defense and the rest all run on the same plain question set: a stem, up to four options, one or more marked correct. The product is built around hosting that set and rewarding fast, correct answers. Authoring the set is left to you, and the spreadsheet import exists so you do not have to click Add Question thirty times.

That is exactly the gap a teacher hits on Sunday night with a chapter PDF and a Blooket planned for Monday. The template is a fast way to enter questions. It is not a way to write them. This page covers the writing half: upload the PDF, and the tool reads it, picks the testable points, phrases each as a question and builds three wrong options plausible enough to be worth a tap. Blooket runs the game.

Two habits make the import painless. First, ask for four options on every question, because a mix of two-option and four-option rows means checking the Correct Answer(s) number against each row's option count. Second, keep stems short. Blooket does not publish a character limit, but a student playing on a phone during Gold Quest does not read a three-line stem. Can you upload a PDF to Blooket?

No. Blooket has no PDF upload anywhere in the set creator. Its two bulk inputs are a spreadsheet import, using Blooket's own CSV template, and a Quizlet import. So a PDF becomes a Blooket set in two steps: generate multiple choice questions from the PDF here, then paste them into the template and upload the CSV.

How do I import questions into Blooket from a spreadsheet?

On the Set Creator page choose CSV Import, add a title and click Create Your Set. Copy or download Blooket's spreadsheet template, fill in the question text, two to four answers, an optional time limit in seconds and the number of the correct answer, then save the file as .csv and upload it. For an existing set, use Spreadsheet Import on the Set Edit page instead.

What is the Blooket import template format?

One row per question. The columns are the question number, the question text, Answer 1 through Answer 4, a time limit in seconds capped at 300, and the Correct Answer(s) column, which takes only the position number of the right option, 1 to 4, with commas between numbers if more than one option is correct. Do not touch the blue or gray cells, and save as .csv.

Why is my Blooket import not working?

Almost always one of four things: the Correct Answer(s) column contains text instead of a number, a row has a correct answer number higher than the number of answers it has, the file was saved as .xlsx instead of .csv, or a colored template cell was edited. Fix the row, save as CSV again and re-upload.

Does Blooket have a character limit for questions?

Blooket does not publish a character cap in its help documentation, unlike Kahoot. In practice the limit is the game screen: long stems wrap and shrink on a phone, and answers longer than a short phrase become hard to tap. Keep stems to one sentence and options to a few words, which is also how good multiple choice items read anyway.

Can you import from Quizlet to Blooket?

Yes. Blooket has a Quizlet Import option on the create page and the Set Edit page. It reads a set that is in your own Quizlet library, so a public set has to be copied to your library first. That path suits flashcard-style term and definition sets. For questions written from a chapter or handout, the spreadsheet import is the better fit.

Can I add imported questions to a set I already have?

Yes. Open the set, and on the Set Edit page choose Spreadsheet Import to add rows from a template to that set. Combining two whole sets into one is a different feature, Merging Sets, which Blooket lists as a Plus perk along with the question bank and larger live games.

Is there a way to skip Blooket and just run the quiz?
