A good quiz question tests one clear idea, has exactly one defensible correct answer, and uses wrong answers that are plausible but genuinely wrong. It reads cleanly, avoids trick wording, and matches the level of thinking you want to measure. The most common flaw is a question that hides two questions inside it. "Which structure produces insulin and what does it regulate" forces a student who knows one half but not the other into a wrong answer that misreports what they actually know. Split it. In a multiple choice question the wrong answers carry most of the weight.
